A room made for stories,
art and unexpected
conversations.
Our Living Room is a cultural space in the making, taking shape through pop-up events, exhibitions and small gatherings across Perth.
For now, the room moves.
Our Living Room does not yet have walls of its own.
So it appears in borrowed rooms, galleries, halls and temporary spaces across Perth.
A reading here. An exhibition there. A game around a table.
Each pop-up offers a glimpse of what Our Living Room could become.
Until the room has a home, it travels.
When the room lands,
things happen.
A table becomes a place for stories.
A hall becomes a temporary gallery.
A game turns into an evening of conversation.
Children make work that ends up on the walls.
The format changes. The idea doesn’t.
Create a reason to come in and enough space for something unexpected to happen.
The room has a rhythm
Some things return.
Some gatherings come back.
Not always in exactly the same place, or at exactly the same time.
Belote, Papote & Rebelote
Cards on the table, conversation in the room and just enough competition to keep things interesting.
A recurring rendez-vous for people who know the game, people who want to learn it, French learners and anyone curious enough to pull up a chair.
Stories we carry
Personal stories told in the language they belong to, with English support so everyone can follow.
See what’s coming up
And sometimes, the room changes shape
