A playful adventure with French expressions

Cats, apples and salads… what could they possibly have to do with theatre?

In French, you can donner sa langue au chat, tomber dans les pommes or raconter des salades. This October, we’ll discover what these curious expressions mean, then let our imaginations take them literally!

Working in small groups, children will choose an expression and invent a story of their own. Through theatre games and rehearsals, our team will help them develop their characters, dialogue and movement, while keeping their ideas at the heart of the adventure. They’ll also make the props and scenery their stories need.

Five days of playing, creating and speaking French, ending with a short performance for families.

The expressions are our starting point. What happens next is up to the children.

No French lesson. Plenty of French.
